6G Conference 2024
About the Conference
The 6G Conference 2024 took place on 23–25 September 2024 at Istanbul Medipol University, Kavacık South Campus, Istanbul, Türkiye. Organized by the university’s School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the event continued the 6G workshop series launched in 2017. It brought together researchers, industry representatives and public-sector leaders to discuss next-generation wireless communications.
Programme Highlights
The three-day programme combined keynote lectures, seven panels and 60 expert speakers. Panel discussions addressed disaster communications and public safety networks; the transition to 5G with domestic technology and spectrum allocation; academic and industrial perspectives on the 6G vision; Open RAN, IoT and private networks; non-terrestrial networks and satellite communications; and communication, network and device security.
Keynote topics included AI-enabled telecom networks, radio-interface technologies, sustainable global connectivity, machine learning in Open RAN and digital twins for low-latency 6G systems. The programme connected technical research with industry priorities and Türkiye’s communications ecosystem.
CoSiNC Participation and Contributions
Prof. Hüseyin Arslan, Dean of the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, delivered one of the opening speeches.
