WWRF Huddle 2026
About the Conference
WWRF Huddle 2026 brought together researchers, academics, industry representatives, policymakers and regulators to discuss the future of wireless communications. Held on 16–17 September 2026 at Istanbul Medipol University’s South Campus in Istanbul, Türkiye, the event explored the technological, societal and global dimensions of next-generation networks.
Under the theme “One Vision – Many Voices: Reaping the Rewards from Intelligent, Sustainable Networks,” the conference examined how the development of 6G can support sustainability and digital inclusion while addressing different regional priorities and community needs.
Programme Highlights
The two-day programme featured keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive sessions on 6G standards and roadmaps, AI-native networks, integrated sensing and communication, security and privacy, and spectrum policy. Discussions also addressed the integration of terrestrial and satellite networks to support more inclusive and resilient connectivity.
Alongside the main sessions, parallel “Mini Huddles” focused on practical applications in healthcare and education, connected and autonomous vehicles, and aerospace communications. These sessions connected emerging technologies with real-world use cases, while networking opportunities encouraged exchanges among participants from academia, industry and the public sector.
Organizational Contributions
The event was organized by the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF) and hosted by Istanbul Medipol University’s School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, bringing international discussions on next-generation wireless communications to Istanbul.
Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Arslan served on the organizing committee and delivered opening remarks on behalf of the host institution. He also contributed a keynote presentation to the session “Many Disciplines, One Trust Framework,” addressing security and trust in next-generation communication systems.
