The World’s Eyes on Istanbul: IEEE PIMRC 2025 Held at Lütfi Kırdar
One of the most prestigious events in wireless communication technologies, IEEE PIMRC 2025 (IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications), was held this year in Istanbul. The conference, hosted at the Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center, brought together leading academics, engineers, and pioneering companies from around the world.
From Turkey, major telecom operators such as Türk Telekom and Turkcell participated, while global tech giants including Huawei, Qualcomm, and Ericsson were also in attendance. The conference featured the latest research on 5G and beyond communication technologies, AI-powered network solutions, the Internet of Things, and sustainable digital infrastructures.
The event was hosted by Istanbul Medipol University, which helped pave the way for significant collaborations between academia and industry representatives. Participants emphasized that this major gathering greatly contributed to Istanbul’s vision of becoming a regional technology hub.
